H&M sell directly through their website and offer a wider range of items and sizes online. Their online store has great functionality, offering features that are not available in store, such as 'scan and find', 'inventory check' and my personal favourite, 'visual search', which allows you to take a photo of the item to check its avaliability.

There are many online exclusive items that H&M offer across their websites. These include the H&M exclusive collection and H&M home. Whilst H&M home is available in stores, they have online exclusives from external brand.

Some elements that would make a good online retail web shop include:

  • Strong brand identity

  • An easy to use website

  • Unique selling point (USP)

  • Bold and attractive design
